Hello Sponsors

It’s my privilege as the Head of Farm Operation at GrowForMe to send you our monthly update on the performance of your pineapple sponsored crops.

In the month of February, some of the crops were forced with growth hormones to induce flowering, and from our previous update we informed you of the expected outcome in six weeks from the day of forcing.

Hurray! The flower induction was successful and the Pineapples are currently in the fruit formation stage with 85% uniform fruiting observed. All growing fruits have foliage crowns on top and are expected to reach their maturity stage within 135 days depending on the prevailing weather condition.

Below table shows the average climatic conditions of the growing area as observed by our EOS satellite platform in the month of March 2021.

Thus, the prevailing condition in the month of March has been perfect for optimum pineapple crop growth, and we anticipate a more favourable climate condition in the coming months as we enter the major rainy season.

The satellite preview image above was taken on 22nd March 2021, showing the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) used in identifying the density of green vegetation on a patch of land and problem areas of the field at different stages of plant growth. Index value of 0.63 shows healthy dense vegetation with substantial amounts of chlorophyll in plant leaves.

Please visit your GrowForme dashboard to see the images uploaded and if there is any other information you may need, do not hesitate to reach out directly to me on +233207946144

As well, we encourage you to join our community of Pineapple Sponsors to connect with each other and receive exciting updates from the Grow Me Team directly.

Have a farm-tanstic day!
